8th Exploratory

There is a high demand for motivated and creative individuals in the welding field. The desire for the students to succeed at the basic level and step up to the higher level of competency in this field is the ultimate goal of this course. The topics covered in this class will include welding safety, technical specifications, oxyfuel cutting, preparing base metals, shielding metal arc welding (SMAW), and career exploration. Instruction will consist of individual hands on activities and projects, group work, lecture, discussion, reading, writing, and self-assessment.
